Back to where the Spirit Began
It was 2004 when impressive clothing label Colour Spirit® officially launched at Fashion Exposed, one of Australia’s biggest fashion events. The results and feedback were nothing short of
spectacular and now two years later Colour Spirit® head back to where it all began, Australia's largest all encompassing business event for the Fashion Industry. Being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from the 3rd – 5th of September 2006 Fashion Exposed gives labels from across Australia the chance to promote their trans-seasonal and winter collections.
Colour Spirit® is based on healing messages of Colour Therapy and presents the seven colours of the charkras throughout its range with many of the pieces hand dyed. The collection can be mixed to create evening wear looks, classic or bohemian styles that creates this easy wear range into a versatile year round favourite of retailers from across Australia.
Colour Spirit® is the brainchild of Carol and Rachel Hanlon, designers who have an ongoing love of colour and both express this in distinctively different ways. Carol has been in the fashion industry for over thirty years and ran an extremely successful self named fashion label from 1973 to 1993.
Rachel is an award-winning artist and illustrator and has carried her passion for colour and creating things of beauty since adolescence.
Colour Spirit® will also launch its Natural Spirit collection at Fashion Exposed, a relaxed range of throwovers and soft easy wear slip jackets aimed at the plus size fiqure in the hues and earthy tones of creams, greys. taupes, rust and brown that form a stunning mix of colourways and hand dyes.
Colour Spirit® will be located at the designedge – TCF Australia uncovered Showcase
Exhibition Stand and will also be available for private showings or appointments. Designedge – TCF Australia Uncovered is supported by the Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia (TCFWA), Belmont BEC – Small Business Centre Belmont (BEC) and designedge fashion incubator located at the Belmont Forum Shopping complex.
