Teresa Giorgi

A Strength in Australian Fashion

Teresa Giorgi is a force within the Australian fashion industry. She has proved her talent and dexterity in the TCF industry with several fashion labels. Teresa’s designs cater to a modern woman with a sophisticated sense of fashion.

In her own words Teresa commented, “I started my career in fashion under a different label which was more focused on club wear. I saw a gap in the market where you could design the garment to be worn out to clubs OR to cocktail parties, the races etc. I brought out a more up-market look and renamed the label.”

Teresa has exhibited the label at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in previous years and has always found a market for her label within the buyers. She will be exhibiting once again this year and will continue to expand her clientele.

Her designs are stunning and appeal to a range of women. They include cocktail dressed in a range of lace and satins and some beaded work.

Teresa Giorgi will be displaying her latest range at the designedge fashion incubator exhibit at the Spring Summer Mercedes Australian Fashion Week.

designedge fashion incubator - belmont has shown its significance to the fashion industry in Western Australia with its constant growth and development. Established by TCFWA & Belmont BEC in February 2005, it is now the largest community based fashion incubator in Australia, housing over 70 West Australian labels.  It offers a magnitude of opportunities to fashion labels at all stages of development from established to emerging designers by providing a retail outlet for them to sell their collections to the general public as well as offer them a base where national and international agents can view their collections. With the strong industry connections and know how of Carol Hanlon at the helm, the initiative also offers its designers wishing to start a new fashion label or to grow their existing label the tools to develop a successful small business in the fashion industry.

designedge fashion incubator agents suite @ MAFW has been made possible through grant assistance of the State of Western Australia through ArtsWA Designer Fashion Grants Program, TCFWA, Belmont BEC, Suki Moo and designedge fashion incubator located at Belmont Forum Shopping Centre.
